The Dawson Ridge photo was taken on a trip up to the ridge. We go up there both in the summer to pick huckleberries and also in the fall to cut our firewood. The views up there are breathtaking. The plants of the earth are bedding down to rest for the winter so they can bring forth nourishment for the earth in the Spring.

This photo of a pumpkin reminds me of how God has lovingly filled the earth with plentiful harvest. Pumpkins are iconic of autumn, and give me warm feelings when I think about Thanksgiving- the day we thank our creation for his bountiful blessings. The vibrant orange and the little ice crystals give this pumpkin a unique harvest-season character.
