High altitude

It seems to me that the statements of Pope Francis when being pronounced at high altitude always appear to be interesting. It seems that he finds pleasure in using phrases for surprising effect or to shock or to amaze the selected group of journalists that is present to listen to him.

Certainly this “high” magisterium does not add much clarity in a historic moment that is already of great confusion. The confusion between the pastoral and doctrinal already reigns.

But if you say these things you are accused of every wickedness … and so let it be!
