Don’t Worry, Be Holy

What God wants most of all for each one of you is that you should become holy. He loves you much more than you could ever begin to imagine, and he wants the very best for you. And by far the best thing for you is to grow in holiness.

hi kathryn, i’m going to be blunt with you even though i don’t want to hurt your feelings. i hear people talking about holiness as though it had nothing to do with them. that goes for some of the priests on ewtn also, a channel i dearly love. holiness should not be talked about as though it has no significance. i understand that you don’t mean it that way but let’s face it, talk is cheap. holiness is the thing all of us resist with all our might because fallen human nature does not want to die to self. our resistance is so profound and ubiquitous that we really have no idea that we are resisting god’s graces. kathryn, talk means nothing. i hope you are able to hear what i’m saying. so please start to listen with your heart. god bless.

Tom, you’re absolutely right. And that was a quick post and line but I’d like to think that the whole of this blog … which is words, it is what the venue is … is a slight reminder that this is our call and this is what we need to be helping one another do: To know God, to serve God, to share His love.

And you’re quite right, the best means of communicating is by living it yourself. The best evangelization isn’t going to happen on a blog!!! But words do have meaning and can influence too. Speaking of listening with your heart:
