The Worst Liturgy I’ve Ever Seen. Ever.

The Easter Bunny reads the Prayers of the Faithful.

I guess I should thank the Catholic Church Conservation blog for making me aware of this preposterous liturgical abuse.  It’s hard to watch, though!  Lord have mercy.

Hmm still only a close second to the clown “mass”.

  • Fr. Dwight Longenecker

It is possible that this is a Protestant service. I think we should be told. Not that that makes it good, but at least it wouldn’t be Catholic.

Unfortunately it was at a Catholic church: From a “Family Mass” on Easter Sunday in the Hartberg Catholic Parish of the Diocese of Graz-Seckau in Austria. They even have it on their website.

Thanks for putting the onus on us (Protestants). However the amount of gold leaf on the high altar and “holy” pictures on the wall suggest you own this. It’s obviously a children’s service and the costumed bunny-person came in only at the end when the announcements were being made. In my book much ado about nothing since it’s a one-off event and the eucharist was already distributed in what I suspect was a traditional manner, with all this video stuff coming at the end for the kids. If it’s the German Evangelical or Lutheran church I’m glad we have so many young mothers and kids.

I would have left when the bunny first came out…

Yes, it really is Catholic. I posted it on late today. Ack. See below:

Hopping heresy! This is outrageous! Exchange the cekebrant’s Roman collar for a flea collar
