About Libby Anne

Libby Anne grew up in a large evangelical homeschool family highly involved in the Christian Right. College turned her world upside down, and she is today an atheist, a feminist, and a progressive. She blogs about leaving religion, her experience with the Christian Patriarchy and Quiverfull movements, the detrimental effects of the "purity culture," the contradictions of conservative politics, and the importance of feminism.

I loved Sierra’s articles. Very well written and informative, she’s a great writer. Thanks for the shout-out on mine. I’ve had a lot of people get very upset about that particular article, citing cases of child molestation etc even when that is clearly not what I was talking about. But almost every Christian I know that read it didn’t understand it and was offended that I would be against the “love the sinner, hate the sin” thing, a few got it though which gives me a little hope for Christianity.
