Cleveland College Students “Traumatized” by RNC Cops Staying in Their Dorms

Cleveland College Students “Traumatized” by RNC Cops Staying in Their Dorms July 21, 2016

With the  Republican National Convention a scant four miles away from the campus of Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, the student body, made up entirely of special snowflakes, were excused from classes and allowed to retreat to their safe spaces for the duration of the RNC event at the Quicken Loans Arena.

These aren’t just any snowflakes, but elite snowflakes, paying tuition and room and board totaling over $60,000 each year, as The Daily Caller notes. Classes that aren’t canceled have been moved away from campus and faculty and staff have been ordered to take the entire week off, or at the very least, “maintain essential services with the fewest number of staff physically on the campus,” as is written in a statement.

A safe space is being provided by the school’s Social Justice Institute in the basement of a campus building for those who remain on campus while the Republicans are attending the convention. Counseling has also been ordered for students who want to express their feelings about “recent events” (police shootings?) or the convention.

Another ridiculous reason the snowflakes are melting is due to the fact that extra police officers are being allowed to live on campus in the dorms so they are nearby to work the convention. One anonymous professor flew off the handle complaining that the dorms are turning into “ground zero for the storm troopers.”

There were also demands aimed at the “occupying” officers, as well. Some dorm residents asked to be moved to alternate housing for the week, fearing the “racist and homophobic” police, as noted at TruthRevolt. The students also wanted the officer’s weapons to be stored away from campus.

And no one in the administration ever said, “No.” Instead, they capitulated to each request. Apparently at $60k a pop, they’ll do anything for their student body, except teach them how to act like grown-ups.
