Darth Vader’s lines. Winnie the Pooh’s voice.
I know I’m going to get flack for this, but…
That ain’t Winnie ther Pooh’s voice. At least, not how it sounds in my head.
I presume this is the guy who voices the Disney abomination that blasphemes the original perfection of Milne’s stories? I know, I’m probably the only person on the planet who didn’t meet Pooh through Disney. It’s all right. I’m fine with the rest of the world being just wrong wrong wrong.
(For the sarcasm impaired: I am exaggerating my dislike for the Disney Pooh. I do not actually consider Pooh to be sacred, or Disney to be blaspheming – in this regard.)
You are not the only person who didn’t meet Pooh through Disney. My dad read me the books long before I even knew of the existence of DisneyCorp, and I, too, find the Disney Pooh to be a small travesty of the mildly almost-sacred: disappointing but not a great enough evil to be worth spending that much energy denouncing. (Ask me about Peter Jackson’s LotR, however.)
This may be the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
For no reason other than the Winnie connection:
Edit: rats, the picture didn’t take. It’s the cover of a Disney cookbook entitled “Cooking with Pooh”. Here’s the link if you don’t believe me.
If you look, you will find another where they are reading the script for “The Lord of the Rings” with the voice of Eric Cartman as Gandalf
I don’t hear it. You know who he sounds like? The dude who did Ka, from the Jungle Book
That’s because the same voice actor, Sterling Holloway, originally did both.
You don’t say…
