The United Methodists bail on support for Roe v. Wade

I wonder how long any Christian communion can endure the internal stress of believing a gospel that proclaims the love of God for all human persons while supporting a human tradition that strips the most innocent human persons of their dignity and allows them to be torn limb from limb.  Bravo to the United Methodists for finally confronting and rejecting this lie at the heart of our civilization.

And thanks be to God for the long, slow, inexorable pressure of his Spirit on human hearts.
