Mere Breath
The Lord is my Helper; I will not be overwhelmed.
He makes me work all day and then gives me rest.
He fills up my energy tank.
God protects me from becoming a grouch because I belong to Him. Even though I cannot take one step without bumping into something, I will not become frustrated, for He is with me. His word speaks truth to me, and His Spirit comforts me — He is my sustainer.
He prepares a great feast for me, where I will not feel guilty because my family ate drive-thru most of this month. He honors us with His kindness, and our lives are filled up with testaments of His love for us, there is no place for an unthankful heart here.
I am confident that His favor and mercy will be with me always, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever (which is much more organized than mine is right now). Amen.
