Staging a Pantry – Before and After

Staging a Pantry – Before and After March 29, 2013
Staging a Pantry sounds pretty silly, but when you want to appeal to a cook or coupon-er, then you need to make sure it looks organized and spacious.

While this looks organized, it still looks junky and cluttered.

You want to be able to show a potential buyer that all of their food will fit in the pantry, regardless of size.

As you can see, there was a lot of unused space and disorganization.
Think outside the box and think monochromatic.

Much simpler and it appears as though there is a lot more space even though you are utilizing it better.

Use turntable to group like items together.
Save old spaghetti jars and fill them with staples to hide the colorful sauces
behind the jars.
Buy inexpensive labels and place them on the old jars.
It looks neat and organized.

You can find affordable canisters to put your baking supplies in.

Display your pastas

Take 15 minutes to organize your cans and turn the labels facing out.

Use baskets to hide the larger items that look bulky, like extra sauces or potatoes.

Remember that you want to pay attention to the details.  If it shows in the little things, then you give the  potential buyer impression that you have cared for this home – which I’m sure you have!
Tomorrow, I will give you the tutorial on the Lazy Susans I’ve made for this pantry as well as using the wooden crates for storage.
