Watching scary movies can help you burn the calorific equivalent of a small chocolate bar, according to a new study by researchers at the University of Westminster.

Those who watched a 90-minute horror film were likely to burn up to 113 calories ….

    Does that work for TV shows that make you angry about the morals of as well? I can’t break my wife from her pre-Catholic and pre-marital addiction to Young and the Restless- but maybe I should watch it more often with her. I find the morality in that show to be as frightening as anything I’ve ever seen in a horror film.

      I have no idea. But TV shows and movies can form a “table” around which we can gather to talk about what really matters. They offer a “space” to exercise our moral imagination.
