Teens talk “The Fault in Our Stars” book & upcoming movie

One of my nun-pals sent me this YouTube video about how teens are reacting to the book “The Fault in Our Stars” – and preview of the upcoming film based on the book – by John Green, the author and vlogger (video blogger), and video educator. I had not heard of it before but I have heard of John Green as a producer of YouTube educational videos.

This YouTube video is, of course, a promotion for the film and the kids being interviewed are bright and articulate. They have definite views about the book – even if they haven’t read it.

I would like to have seen all of these young people gathered around a table talking about the book for more interaction. (At least one is an actor but I think they all might be). Still, if you think young people don’t think – do revisit that opinion. You can read more about John Green on his Wikipedia page and why he chose to write about death in a YA novel. I am so pleased to see that the film was produced by two gentlemen I admire very much: Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen (“The Nativity Story” and “The Twilight Series”).
