Rhymes with “Mrs. Sharpie”

Atrios brings us this delightful observation from Barbara Bush, the queen mother:

"Why should we hear about body bags and deaths and how many, what day it's going to happen, and how many this or what do you suppose? Oh, I mean, it's, not relevant. So why should I waste my beautiful mind on something like that?"

(Via Notes from Atlanta. Bush's comment was made in an interview with Diane Sawyer on "Good Morning America," March 18 — see here.)

Babs Bush. Such a pleasant lady.
Almost makes you understand how such delightful sons were spawned and why her 70+ husband decided to fling himself from an airplane…oh…he was parachuting?

From the other side of the pond:
The actual queen mother (I think they invented the title for the late mother of the present queen)in the middle of the blitz, when a Nazi invasion on Britain was expected at any moment:
“The children will not leave unless I leave. I will not leave unless the king leaves, and the king will not leave under any circumstances whatsoever.”
Stuff the Bushes, all of them.
