From the article:

Since the end of the recession in 2001, the economy has strengthened, productivity is up, and companies are posting healthy profits. Yet low- and medium-wage workers … around the country are earning less money than they were a year ago. And to make things worse, workers are losing benefits like health insurance and pensions. All these cutbacks are adding to dissatisfaction in the workplace.

"All this great economic growth has been eluding the wage earners and has been going to people at the higher income scale," said Elise Gould, an economist at the Economic Policy Institute, a Washington, D.C., think tank that researches economic and labor issues. "We are seeing growth in earnings for people at the top, but not for low- and middle-income households."

The median earnings of both men and women who work full time, year-round declined between 2004 and 2005, according to the latest U.S. Census figures. The median earnings of men declined 1.8 percent to $41,386, and the earnings of women declined 1.3 percent to $31,858. This is the second year in a row that men experienced a decline in earnings and the third year in a row for women.

How're those Bush tax cuts working out for ya?

How do you think they'll work out for you once the government actually has to pay for them?

Kevin has a very graphic graphic and notes that The Republican Party owes you $20,000.
