Bill Whittle on the Job

I got an email from someone today wondering why I do not simply call myself “Little Miss Bitchslap.”

Well, I thought that was pretty funny.

But the reason I don’t do it?

It’s because Bill Whittle is in charge of Bitchslapping.

No one does it better.

    I dunno.

I don’t think it is so much a bi***slap as a very manly right hook to the jaw.

If I were President of the United States, I would want Bill Whittle as my Press Secretary, and my General Order No. 1 to him would be, “Bitchslap at will.”

    I’m sorry, Anchoress. I can’t watch.

To watch someone(s) being hacked, burned and pillaged (figuratively) “in a manner reminiscent of Genghis Khan” can be a quite painful experience. I just divert my eyes because people are going to come out of that screen bloody and limping.

And then, to add “insult” to “injury”, he does it with a smile. It’s painful, but I can do nothing but smile back at it and hope I never have to do that bloody work. I simply couldn’t do that myself. The pen being mightier than the sword is one thing. The tongue piercing deeper than a double-edge sword, on the other hand, is practiced by masters.

That’s why I turn the v-log on and walk a few feet away to do something else – do the dishes or attend to my girls, for example. The sound and the fury coming from my computer are good enough. It’s when I peek my eyes into it that I know I cannot just look away. And I thought Jon Stewart receiving a fine filleting from him a few months ago was a good enough spectacle – and I admit I loved watching every minute of it! As a student of history since my youth, I must say that in a theoretical “previous life” (since I don’t believe there’s such a thing, but let’s put this in perspective here), he probably was a Roman gladiator, and a rather good one.

Please remind me never to be in such a receiving end! :-(

It never ceases to amaze me when bloggers publish something like this.

An email? That’s so personal, almost invasive. I can’t imagine sitting down and writing something like that and sending it to a blogger’s email address. Ick.

Thank you for the video and thank you and your emailer for the laugh.

I’ve followed Bill Whittle from his blogging days. No one does it better, and I think he’s one of the best speakers out there. He’s certainly better than Olbermann.

Wow…Little Miss B*%#^slap is as good something else I heard someone call Dave Ramsey via email yesterday: Redneck Millionaire. Mr. Ramsey, said on his radio show after reading the email on the air, that “I know you thought you were insulting me, but I am a redneck and I am a millionaire so I guess you’re right,” and proceeding to wonder aloud if he could get someone to write him a song about being a redneck millionaire to use for theme music. I laughed out loud.
Personally, I think you’re really more inclined to pray for folks that B*%#^slap them, until they try your patience to the point that your Irish temper gets the better of you, as mine so often gets the better of me. And then, if you are like me, you feel bad and go back to praying for them, especially for our nation’s leaders who don’t seem to be praying for themselves and thus need it more from us. But, maybe Buster could write you a song about Lil Miss B*%#^slap anyway, just for laughs.

a little whoop*ss from the gentleman…hoorah! My little sister is melting down over all this. Everyone needs to pray…more… The Almighty and His angels are better at dealing with these socialists-statis types…You and Bill Whittle are just two of His agents.

    : (

I absolutely hate the term “bitchslapping”.

    It is misogynist and horrible.
