Warm and Fuzzy Overload…

Do you ever have moments where the truth of something just smacks you in the face? I woke up this morning shocked I was a Catholic. Absolutely shocked I tell ya.

Weird how it hit me today. I’ve been an official card carrying papist since 2005. This shouldn’t be a new revelation. Yet there it was… my first thought upon rising this morning was – in all seriousness – “Holy sh*t! I’m Catholic!”

I mean really! I’m Catholic. That’s huge! There was a time in my heathen life that never in a million years would I think I would be a practicing member of the one true faith. Yet here I am. Nun hugging, Pope loving, rosary clacking Kat.

Not a bad way to the start day if you ask me.

Now here is a picture of a fuzzy kitten.

Woot! Wonderful, Kat. I converted to Catholicism in 1979, then drifted away for 14 years…and came back. I wake up like this, too! Thanks be to God!

“Now here is a picture of a fuzzy kitten.” Bwaaa ha ha ha! Totally random.

  • Cordelia

Oh, I’m so glad to hear I’m not the *only* convert that’s happened to! (Class of 2008.)

I felt that way this Sunday as I listened to a brave priest speak to his flock about being Catholic saying, “I recently heard a parishioner say ‘having a statue of Mary in the sanctuary is just too Catholic for me.’ Y’all. There’s no such thing as being ‘too Catholic’. We ARE Catholic. Our identities should be wrapped in it so intrinsically that others cannot see where we end and It begins.” Made me proud to have converted to the Faith!
