Rob Bell, #robbell, #lovewins, "Rob Bell"

In other news, Brian McLaren had a new book come out yesterday: Naked Spirituality: A Life with God in 12 Simple Words.

Personally, I’m looking forward to reading it.

Never would have believed that Brian could get overshadowed on the publishing front. I’m certain that he is in some ways grateful for the backseat.

I’ve begun reading it. It’s different than a lot of his previous works but I like it’s simplicity.

Yeah, it’s funny how Rob Bell’s new book is causing more controversy than Brian’s “A New Kind of Christianity” did last year.

I’m looking forward to reading “Naked Spirituality.” I interviewed Brian yesterday for Something Beautiful, and he told me this book is less about deconstructing theology and more about drawing closer to God.

for the evangelical mind Brian is a saint compared to Rob Bell – fundies will probably be ordering Brian’s books by the caseload.

Hey, I just published my own book on Monday! Somehow I don’t think it will get as much traction as Rob’s, though. :)

Interesting that I have not heard a peep about Miroslav Volf’s new book-Allah. That should get some people in a frenzy

It is interesting to me how Bell’s book seems to be causing even more furor than A New Kind of Christianity did–and Bell is only cracking open one controversial issue. Maybe because folks like Tony and Brian were already considered more or less in ‘liberal land’, while many evangelicals still considered Bell to be in their tent?

Oh, and I’m actually looking forward to reading Brian’s book myself :)
