The Wild Hunt
A modern Pagan perspective

From Media Matters, a bit of levity from our old pal Pat Robertson.
So remember kids, cemeteries don’t pose a threat of spiritual attack, unless there are COVENS!
I’ve got more coming on the blog later today, so stay tuned…
This is headsmacking stupid. And people swallow it and call US kooks….
Those two are so clueless that you just have to laugh at them.. So thanks Pat for the laugh.
Hyphen, please!! I thought my local cemetery witch had been incarcerated.
Exactly, Cara! And they say WE are superstitious!
Oh yes because that’s what we Witches do, we wait for the unsuspecting to move near cemeteries so we can conduct spiritual warfare and steal their souls…o_0…..The intentional lies the blindly misinformed are led to believe by their leaders would be hysterical if it weren’t all so pathetically ignorant.
…and potentially dangerous, depending on where you live.
-sighs and marks a scroll- “And there goes yet another of my evil schemes…stupid villagers and their paranoia. Do you know how hard it is to find a good, large graveyard with the proper amount of loose souls!
Ah, but do the coven members sparkle? That’s when you REALLY have to worry.
I thought it was vampires that sparkled.
Ideally, they should spark.
Only since 1922.
Coven referred to a group of vampires too. Did everyone forget Anne Rice with the advent of Twilight??
Nah, I’ve never read Anne Rice or the Twilight novels (or seen the movies)
I tried to forget most things after Dracula and the Hammer Horror films
Kids, necrophilia isn’t sexy. It’s just gross.
Necromancy on the other hand….
The Twilight films are worth it, but only if you download the RiffTrax commentary to play along with it. Otherwise, it’s just kind of dull occasionally interrupted with kinda stupid.
Personally I prefer Laurell K Hamilton’s name for a group of vampires. A Kiss of Vampires.
He is one of my favorite comedians.
I feel dirty saying this, but that’s almost a reasonable response from Pat Robertson.
guh… Gotta shower now.
Its ridiculous – in all other areas of life if you are strongly against something and are for its opposite people expect you to be informed of both sides so they can take your opinion seriously – whether its politics, moral code, or why you like the book better than the movie – in all aspects of life one is expected to be well informed before you form an opinion – but apparently religion – the thing in which your ‘eternal soul’ supposedly faces doom or salvation through – its perfectly ok to be one sided? They say ‘know thine enemy’ if you’re gonna hate us at least hate us for the right reasons and not the ghost stories that Hollywood has made of us! Sheesh
