What’s On My Mind? Helping Out Syrian Refugees.

What’s On My Mind? Helping Out Syrian Refugees. August 28, 2013

Doing so may be the only positive thing I can do these days, as the West seems bent on wreaking even more havoc than the Syrian people have already endured.

So what is the situation in refugee camps that folks have fled Syria for? In a word, dire. Here’s a 411 from the folks of the PBS News Hour.

You know what? I’m not too keen on UNICEF. I’d send my donation dollars through CNEWA instead.

Pope Francis urges us to take action:

I ask you to do all you can to alleviate the serious needs of the people of beloved Syria, refugees ever more numerous… Remember in your prayers the church of Syria.”

CNEWA is working hard to alleviate the suffering of Syria’s people, particularly Christians. Christians are a small, vulnerable minority in Syria. We are partnering with local Catholic churches to ensure Christians are not forgotten as Syria is torn apart by civil war.

Here’s how.

St. Alban, and Mother Mary, pray for us.
