World Faiths & Religions

There is considerable debate on this issue.  Some believe that the world will end and all of those judged positively will be "saved" and enjoy eternal life.  Some Christians, however, believe that the second coming has already occurred, with Jesus' death on the cross (and its inherent promise of salvation).  It's a very complex topic within Christianity, one that reflects the tremendous doctrinal diversity within the tradition.
