Patheos Names Christine Hoff Kraemer Managing Editor of Pagan Channel

Writer, Editor and Teacher Will Expand Patheos' Presence in Pagan Community

DENVER -- October 12, 2012 - Patheos.com, the world's premier online destination for global dialogue on religion and spirituality, today announced the addition of Christine Hoff Kraemer as Managing Editor of the Patheos Pagan Channel.

Ms. Kraemer holds a Ph.D. in Religious and Theological Studies from Boston University. An accomplished writer, editor, and teacher, Christine has published widely on literature, popular culture, and Paganism. She has books forthcoming from Routledge and Patheos Press. Christine is also an instructor at Cherry Hill Seminary, where she did pioneering work on e-learning platforms and served for two years as chair of the Theology and Religious History department.

"Patheos has always been committed to serving the Pagan community, from our earliest days," said Leo Brunnick, Patheos CEO. "The Pagan Channel isn't the largest on Patheos, but it is absolutely critical that a site dedicated to hosting the conversation on faith represent Pagans, who are often relegated to the sidelines of religious debate in the United States."

"I love the way that Patheos provides a space for interfaith dialogue between Pagans and other religious practitioners -- as well as for dialogue between Pagans, who are an extremely diverse group," Kraemer said. "As Managing Editor of the Pagan Channel, I hope to encourage ongoing conversation and debate about issues that will be vital to the Pagan community in the twenty-first century, particularly around the question of infrastructure. I have special interest in exploring different models for Pagan religious education and developing flexible but robust Pagan theologies. I look forward to engaging readers on these and other topics!"
