Christian History Corner: Learning From the Other 9/11 – Christianity Today Magazine states “the first thing a principle does if it really is a principle is to kill somebody” and goes onto describe murder carried out by Mormans.
It strikes me that the very idea today that principles can kill or that a man would die for an idea seems strange. Of course it is true that ideas can be dangerous. IF we read our history books we will realise that our freedom has been bought countless times with the blood of others.
How sad it is that we often value our freedom too little, and take for granted the ability to have disagreements without death ensuing.
