The real world…..

Today someone who I see most days at work emailed me to say

I have just had a look at your blog site. I am impressed, it makes good

reading and is interesting to see what goes on in your head.

Somehow it seems strange to think of a work colleague, a ‘real person’ reading these witterings. In fact in some jobs I would have been nervous about even letting people know that I was a Christian. Actually the entire salesforce were told the other day that I was a lay preacher- there are no secrets it seems!

Why is it that the internet and blogging somehow seems to be another world that we imagine is occcupied by people we don’t know?

Why is it that some people can actually only connect online and build all their relationships in this ‘safe’ environment?

Why is it that even a sane man like myself (I hope!) can get a strange sense of satisfaction out of exposing the inner workings of his mind to strangers but the thought of a workmate reading is somehow disarming.

Well read away anyone who knows me and anyone who doesnt. Read away anyone who agrees with my odd ideas and anyone who doesn’t. Read away coz this is my blog, and I will write what I want in it and no one forced you to read it. Read away, and even tell me if you disagree, but I refuse to appologise for writing.

I will also refuse to apologise for not writing if I have been too busy or not wanting to write.

I wonder if scrawling graffiti over walls is as satisfying as is leaving a permanent record of your thoughts floating in the blogosphere?
