Building the Blogdom of God

Building the Blogdom of God December 21, 2003

Discussion still rages on the evangelical outpost’s site following a post on this subject.

Christian bloggers of the world unite.

We need to link to each other. This can be done in our own blogrolls, in an imported blogroll of Evangelical Blogs, my friend at Christweb has put together, or via the two aggregators ‘The Blogdom of God’ and ‘The Evangelical Aggregator’. More importantly than all that though is that we read each others posts and link to them in our blogs regularly. I am not calling for what could be described as cheating. But listing your favorite Christian bloggers in a post every now and then would go a long way to drawing more traffic in to us all.

You may be surprised to know, however, that if even a few of my readers would link to me in their main posts as Adrian Warnock’s UK Blog then before long we would have an evangelical blog as at or near the top of the pile for a google search ‘UK blog’. This is not cheating the system, just helping each other out.

I have also suggested to the NZ Bear, the host of the ecosystem that we should be allowed to form another alliance there. In the meantime lets try and form a loose nit band together. We are not replicating the excellent Blogs4God which is great as a directory of blogs. What we need to do is build a Blogdom of interconnected blogs that work together to bring our message to bear on the Blogosphere.

Of course, this does not mean that all Christian bloggers will need to make themselves obviously Christian at all times. In deed, such is the level of opposition to our faith that we will need to be wise, and as many of us do blog about the news etc in such a way that a Kingdom view comes through.

Let me know your views. Why not link to this post on your blog and continue the conversation there- do let me know you have done so.

O and in the meantime, do make sure your blog is indexed at google and a part of the ecosytem and blogs4god won’t you!
