A non-cynical welcome to the Jollyblogger

If I was cynical and if last night was just an experiement, I would have shown that it worked. In a matter of hours of me noticing the Jollyblogger, I posted quotes from his blog in umpteen of my posts, and emailed him telling him that his was the best blog I had come accross in ages.

I defy almost ANY blogger not to respond in the way JollyBlogger indeed did, by posting about me on his blog, adding me to his blogroll and agreeing to joing the Blogdom of God Christian Blogs list.

If I had been cynically flattering I would have demonstrated the simple fact that flattery will get you everywhere in the blogosphere.

But I wasn’t being cynical, and the absolute truth is I cannot recommend this blog highly enough. I plan to devour it with the others in the God blogs aggregator . Christian Blogging is definitely in a stronger place with a man like the JollyBlogger blogging.

Of course, the JollyBlogger probably partly responded the way he did because he liked my blog too. I think that the best predictor of another blogger liking yours is you liking theirs. So, if you want more links, go and find blogs you like and link to them, ideally quoting bits you like. You will find that for most of us (especially if we are informed of this by an email that explains why the linker likes our blog) are highly likely to return the complement. I don’t think theres anything cynical or self-promotional about all this, provided we are being honest.
