Search Engines have come up with a simple way to reduce the incentive for comment spam. Using Haloscan has seemed to prevent me from having a significant problem but requires a pop up window. I am therefore trialing “real” comments from Blogger as of now, and for a limited period will have both functioning. Unless the blogger system horribly fails (anyone with any experience of comment spam and blogger now is your time to speak up! Registering is necessary but free with Blogger- please let me know if this will put anyone off posting.
