Google has once again quietly brought out an incredibly exciting tool. You can already search a vast library of paper books online at http://print.google.com/ this is the preachers, nay any researchers dream. With this and http://scholar.google.com in many disciplines it may already be possible to research an article or essay without leaving the google suite of search engines. Google is doing an incredible job of providing some great resources free online. http://video.google.com/ allows searching of recent TV video content, and with tools to search your own PC, not to mention blogger and gmail, google are certainly providing the techie tools that I love to use!
