I thank God often, althought perhaps not often enough, for his amazing grace. A previous scourge of the blogosphere who by his oen admission was brought low by his own foolish words is back. Many of us will have known “The Berean” by another name. I met him in the flesh once and discovered that he was a young man in need of grace and love. Not so very different from the rest of us really.
I hope as he is now back with Flight of The Berean he will return as more broken, but more open to God’s grace. May the following words from 2 Corinthians 6 be true of my friend as he continues his spiritual journey. May he find fellowship with others who will help him both online and in the real world.
“..as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way: by great endurance, in afflictions, hardships, calamities, beatings, imprisonments, riots, labors, sleepless nights, hunger; by purity, knowledge, patience, kindness, the Holy Spirit, genuine love; by truthful speech, and the power of God; with the weapons of righteousness for the right hand and for the left; through honor and dishonor, through slander and praise. We are treated as impostors, and yet are true; as unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and behold, we live; as punished, and yet not killed; as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, yet possessing everything.”
