Why we pray

Why we pray January 11, 2006

My pal Dave Routledge took this picture and shares the story behind it. We pray because of the hunger of men like this who need so much more than the money they ask for. We pray because of the hunger of our own hearts to see God at work. We pray because there is something intoxicating about seeing lives dramatically changed whether they are our own or others.

Pop over to his blog to see a bigger version, and tell him what a cool photo this is. I suspect that there are more to come from his eye.

Today we prayed for our own lives, for healing physical, emotional and spiritual and we prayed for the salvation of dear friends and family. Tears were flowing tonight as God was moving on our hearts. There is no place I would have rather been.
