Pastor Shaun has some really interesting things to say from the cessationist side of the fence. As I have suspected from previous dialogue contrary to the stereotype I had foolishly built up in my mind there are many of them who really do believe in an experiential relationship with God. This encourages me no end for it makes me feel our differences are not so great after all.
The people who concern me are the extremists on both sides- the cessationist who essentially makes out that God is dead and the charismatic who never reads the bible!
Maybe convergance really is more possible in my lifetime than many of us currently believe.
