A ceasefire imminent?

MAc is being concilliatory! Having quoted the following Scripture-

Jeremiah 23:3-4 And I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all countries whither I have driven them, and will bring them again to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase. And I will set up shepherds over them which shall feed them: and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall they be lacking, saith the LORD.

Mac says “I believe for many others who are unchurched and faithful to God, God will remember them as well and bring them in once again to his folds. Amen.”

Now here is something we can agree on Mac! The ideal, the goal for all unchurched is that they are gathered once again into a fold of God with a shepherd of God over them.

I suspect we could agree on a few more things also.

Firstly that a certain number of visible expressions of church are actually far from helpful for many peoplem, and may not even be churches.

Secondly that some churches are in fact true churches, although they may have significant defficiencies.

Thirdly that people can be hurt by church and leaving some churches is the best thing you can do.

Fourthly that the goal of all unchurched Christians ought to be to find a suitable church as soon as they can.

Fithly that we need many more godly churches to be started around the world.

Maybe we agree on more than we diagree?
