One of the best thing about blogging is you get to mercilessly copy others good ideas. My blogspotting posts will be rather more like the modified version pyromaniac is planning on implementing. I will try and link to as many people who have linked to individual posts of mine, but make no guarentee of linking to everyone! Hopefully this will encourage people to let me know if they have linked- and yes, I will link to dissenting posts! Parableman thinks... Read more

People wonder why I like the ESV so much. I realized today that there is one reason I forgot to mention despite already spending 45 posts explaining that! The reason that I forgot to mention is the kindness of the nice folks at Crossway! I know it shouldn’t influence things too much and it sure isn’t the most important reason. But its not every day you get an email in your inbox that’s as nice as the one I am... Read more

Pyromaniac recommended I get ahold of a book on Galatians by Boice. The first paragraph is almost enough to sell it to me- sadly I doubt I can get a free review copy though! Just catch this classic Boice which I read on the Amazon website: Not many books have made such a lasting impression on mens mind as the epistle of Paul to the Galatians, nor have many done so much to shape the history of the western world.... Read more

Every now and then a book comes along that does exactly what it says on the tin. Work Excellence is one of those boooks. Most Christians pay too little attention to what goes on in the workplace. Garriott redresses that balance with a little book all about work. It addresses our need to abolish the work/secular divide, to work with all our might to glorify God and to look for opportunity to live and share the gospel. The book is... Read more

Rick Warren shares his heart: “I’m in the life change business. I’m in the transformation business. You know what motivates me? not size; in fact, I don’t even like big churches. I mean, my favorite size was 300 people. What motivates me is that I am addicted to changing lives. I love seeing lives changed and that is the untold story. Everybody tries to attribute the growth of churches to everything else but what makes them grow and it’s changed... Read more

UPDATE In January 2008, the following post was identified as the 3rd all-time most popular post with readers of this blog. The 4th most-read post was one in a series of posts cataloguing an online debate about baptism and church membership among theological heavyweights, including John Piper, Sam Storms, Wayne Grudem, and Mark Dever, among others. This third-ranked post represents the first in my series of interviews with Christian leaders. I had no idea back in 2005 where the blogging... Read more

We have reposted my pastor Tope’s sermon on Gods sovreignty that he preached in respone to the Tsumami. Todays sermon continued in our normal series, but we spent some time at the beginning of the meeting praying for London before really going for it in praise to Jesus. We learnt a couple of African songs and dances to go with them. Tope even decided to wear Nigerian National Dress to church today. Its great being in a multi-cultural church, as... Read more
