Well there you have it….. In a move that will no doubt annoy my right-wing and left-wing christian friends in equal measure I did it- I took the test and intriguingly I came out slap bang in the middle ecconomically and slightly towards the authoritarian side socially. Thus, when I say I am not either right-wing or left-wing it would seem I am stating the truth! My economic rating was 0.00 and my social scale 2.26. I would love to... Read more

Am I the only one to not quite believe what I hear on this? Former Prime Minister of Spain, Jose Maria Aznar, spoke at breakfast Friday morning at AEI and predicted three spectacular terrorist events in the near future. First, a major destructive action in the United States before election day on November 2, possibly during the last 72 hours, for massive effect in causing confusion and commotion. Second, a dramatic escalation of action in Iraq leading up to November... Read more

I think I am going to give a go at talking about politics. This could get me into trouble, but here goes anyway! Not all Christians are conservative or right wing” according to Connexions who has also set up an aggregator of ‘non-right christians’ He lists me as being in the middleground. Scientists told us 2 years ago that us brits find word plays funny whilst you Americans like jokes that make you feel superior. Apparently this joke is the funiest in the world and works across such great cultural divides. Two hunters are out in the woods when one of them collapses. He doesn’t seem to be breathing and his eyes are glazed. The other guy whips out his phone and calls the emergency services. He gasps: “My friend is dead!... Read more

Today was the funeral of my Uncle. He was a godly man who when told he had cancer said that he would continue to bless the lord. Five months later he was dead. A pastor of a church, he was younger than my parents and the first of his generation to die in our family. We have been blessed up till now as a family with health and long life. I guess that we should ask ‘what have we done... Read more
