I write this in an internet cafe somewhere in Europe. Quite how I made it here I don’t know, having been supposed to go somewhere else for the day then come on here, I missed my morning flight. 3 hours on the M25 to Heathrow when it normally takes 30 minutes!!! Then my colleagues wanted to rearrange the meeting to later, so I checked in for a later flight, then was told it couldnt be rearranged. By this time I... Read more

Tamasin my daughter was profound the other day. She brought up the age old question which came first the chicken or the egg? After thinking for a while she said God must have made the chicken first because if he had made an egg first, it would never have hatched because there would not have been a chicken to keep it warm so it could hatch. It would seem she has solved an age old conundrum! Read more

Hurt by the church and since become an atheist I discovered this poem which sadly reflects on what occurs in all too many churches. I wish he had met the church I am in, or one similar. They preach about fulfilling life, But are the cause of endless strife. Despite the power of what they say, It doesn’t take their lusts away, There is no limit to abuse, When “what I want” is on the loose. No wonder now that... Read more

itv.com/f1 – James Allen: “He stood for several minutes in the corridor behind the podium in floods of tears. Unable to speak, utterly exhausted and empty. ” After driving a cautious clumsy race, Formula Ones champion of chamions Micheal Schumacher was drained and empty. Why should he continue now? What more could he possibly prove? The only thing that could possibly drive him now is loyalty to the team which he calls his family. What can possibly drive a champion... Read more

The Guardian is being profound again…: “The late theologian Robert Carroll once described the Anglican way of doing theology as ‘the dodo’s incorporative principle – a means by which everyone wins’. Anglicans, in trying to sort out doctrinal differences among themselves, were always arguing about the precise weight that should be given to scripture, tradition, reason and culture. The ground rules for such debates always guaranteed inclusion for participants and most reasonable points of view – even those one might... Read more

2TIM 4;: “I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom: preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching.” Read more

I had a a great day today, which was worthwhile even if to just be reminded of some great quotes, like “‘To me, the work of preaching is the highest and most glorious calling to which anyone can be called.’ Dr. D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones” AND preaching is ‘Logic on Fire’ (Again from The Doctor) One of my great priviledges in life was to know a man called Henry Tyler who was one of the founding fathers of the newfrontiers group... Read more

Deflating The Blog Bubble : “Blogs are great. They’re wonderful, and they will Change Things. But we need to step back outside of the blog-to-blog echo chamber and look at how important this movement really is.” OR NOT as the case may be, at least NOT YET! Read more

A revolution is promised, but I suspect a little too early. People still think Im mad to even have a website let alone a blog! Maybe one day things will be different….. “We are no longer an industrial economy. We are no longer cogs in a machine. We are taught from early on to use initiative and be proactive, and to solve our own problems. Yet political campaigns had failed to adapt, insisting volunteers take orders from those at the... Read more
