Connecting To The Future

Connecting To The Future 2017-05-11T19:31:02-06:00
Mothersplant the seedsthat bloomforever. (1)“I don’t want to know my future,” my client said to me, picking up a crystal on my side table and rubbing it gently. “And I don’t want to interrupt my people on the Other Side, if this gets them into trouble.”

Her friend sat on the couch next to her and laughed. “Cheryl, you don’t want to know your future or talk to your dead people, but you came to a psychic medium?”

Cheryl nervously laughed and then looked at me with seriousness. “Kristy, honestly I’m not sure why I’m here and I almost just didn’t show up.”

There were a few reasons she was there, and I knew why, but I wasn’t going to frighten her by what my husband sometimes referred as the “get out of my head” thing I apparently sometimes do (different than mind reading, I promise!). So I instead reacted calm and direct, deciding to educate rather than impress.

You see many people think psychics are fortune tellers and mediums are frauds spending their time stalking desperate people. Cartoons, movies and television shows have created a bad and <mostly> false depiction of the profession, and so when I decided to quit my corporate job and do this full time don’t think I didn’t have a million reasons why it was a stupid idea. It took me just one reason to do it – to be help heal. But there’s always someone in every industry to create a bad and unfair reputation of the rest.

I never want to convince anyone to come see me. And by that I mean those on the Other Side. Just as we have free will here, we have free will there. I don’t raise the dead or conjure resting spirits and neither do you when you talk to your loved ones on the other side. You aren’t bothering them when you ask for help for yourself or ask for a sign. They may ask you to wait. They may not be readily available, but you aren’t troubling them with your chatter.

I gave Cheryl her session which ended in an empty Kleenex box and a huge hug. It was during the session that everything made sense – you see her mom who had passed away the year before was raised Catholic and completely against anything paranormal, metaphysical, or psychic. Her mom came through, though, and wasn’t upset with Cheryl or with me (phew). She validated her heavenly signs to her daughter, and there was closure for them both that would extend beyond that hour. Cheryl didn’t need me at all, though, but it did help with the connection.

We have free will too. We have free will to forgive our past, to enjoy our now, and to write our future. Or do the opposite. Our loved ones on the Other Side want the best for us. Cheryl was blocking her own way. She emailed me a couple weeks later to tell me she’s working on doing her own soul gardening, clearing her connections with those here and those in heaven. Every so often we all have to work on that so the future can be positive. So your future self can be the best of the best.

I believe in you.
