Whenever my kids and I see 11:11, whether from the time on the clock, a license plate or a price that shows up on a cash register we always make a wish. Some people look at us a little strange when we exclaim out loud, “11:11, quick, make a wish!” but I have seen more people join in on the wishing than continue with the odd looks.  Just recently a lady in her 80s came up to me after we... Read more

“You are such a pokey puppy,” I chided Micaela. All of  three years old and she was headstrong with a mind of her own. If I heard her say ‘I’ll do it’ one more time to me in a condescending way, I thought I would probably cry. So adult-like, I know. But between demanding that she choose her outfits, most of the time mismatched, or arms folded with a pout on her face because she wanted to crawl into her... Read more

“Be faithful in small things because it is in them that your strength lies.” Mother Teresa  Quiet tears streamed down her face as she whispered her goodbye. Not a forever goodbye, but a goodbye for now. On the drive back home she sat in the backseat of his family’s SUV, his gray American Eagle sweatshirt wrapped around her even though it was almost ninety degrees and muggy outside. But it didn’t much matter, she couldn’t feel any temperature anyhow, only... Read more

Happy New Moon! The Moon is in Leo, which makes it the best time to set goals, look at moving, organizing, new job, creative undertakings, new romance (or relighting the flame on a current), or anything else that you want to bring into your life. This is a time to have self-confidence and go after what calls to you – taking chances, having faith and believing! It is best to write out your wishes and do your check before 5:51... Read more

“Contrology develops the body uniformly, corrects wrong postures, restores physical vitality, invigorates the mind, and elevates the spirit.” Joseph Pilates   Last week the family and I decided to join a gym. I have always felt quite motivated at a gym rather than purchasing a piece of exercise equipment that ends up being something very expensive I use to hang my clothes on.  We each have different motivations, but there are motivations there nonetheless. After we spoke to the salesperson,... Read more

LUNAR ALERT – The month of August begins with what is called a moon wobble, so if you feel off-centered, overly sensitive and/or moody – you can blame it on the moon. August 6th brings the New Moon in Leo, which makes it an awesome time to start anything new and take huge steps to make your vision a reality. August 20/21 offers a Blue Moon – Blue Moons occur when there are two full moons in one month or if the full moon occurs... Read more

Dear Universe… (God/Angels/Guides, etc) I hope you still remember me. I know it’s been awhile. It seems that sometimes, okay most of the time, I think that I can do this life thing on my own and forget that I have you and those you send to assist me on this life journey to shoulder the burdens. And because of my ego and pride I have been tired, discouraged, and disappointed. I feel like everyone has let me down, and... Read more

When a client posted on her Facebook that she found a litter of kittens in a wishing well on her sister’s property, along with a photo, I melted. The photo of the little orange kitten grabbed at me and I jokingly told her that I wanted the orange one, of which she replied that kitten only had three legs. And my heart melted even more.  As I attempted to help her find homes or a rescue for the kittens, I... Read more

“The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience.” Eleanor Roosevelt  Whether a Soprano’s fan or not, the news spread quickly of the unexpected passing of James Gandolfini. Most everybody on social media had a similar response – ‘How young’! One of my services, so to speak, is counseling both those dying and those with family dying. Often times I then have to... Read more

After my physician handed me my blood test results, instead of crying and panicking, I got to work. Compassionate, but firm, my doctor wrote out instructions on how to improve my health that included new medications/supplements, a diet/lifestyle eating plan and an exercise plan that included walking 10,000 steps a day. He told me to work myself up to it, because I was walking, but hadn’t a clue how many steps I was taking. Boy was I in for a... Read more
