Be inclusive:
Conversations on racism always begin with how isolated certain communities are. The Nazis in Germany put out rhetoric about how Jews just keep to themselves and interpreted this isolation as snobbery rather than self-protection. Remember that those who are withdrawn or seem to isolate themselves do so out of fear rather than hatred. It is up to us, those who are not marginalized or fearful of discrimination, to begin the process of inclusion. We especially like this idea of placing a sign in your yard promoting tolerance and a safe space for others.
