Although they are one of the most visible minorities on college campuses, Muslims grapple with the pressures of college life in the background, finding ways to reconcile, merge, or choose from the palette of social and moral codes available. Some choose to isolate themselves in an attempt to protect their identity, others live double lives, and many use the college experience to explore the place that Muslims have in American society. For me, college life galvanized an American Muslim identity that sees no conflict between America and Islam. What about you?
