‘Tis the season in which nature brings us to utmost darkness. We rebel with our candles, our warm smiles and the joy of family and community. And we dance, and we sing, and feast, knowing that by such gaiety we might lure back our old friend, the sun. In the midst of these celebrations we create myths and legends and we retell the best of those from years gone by.Soon, the beginning of a new year. New faces, new adventures, new opportunities and challenges. But we always take with us the years gone by. The person we are tomorrow was shaped by today. And so we will take stock of what has been – relive our victories and make sure we have learned from our failures.
Let the light of the candle and the sound of the bell be our guide. May there one day truly be peace on earth and goodwill amongst all men. Until then, happy holidays to you and yours.
