Life: the Funniest/Happiest Day Ever

Today must be the funniest/happiest day of my life.

Yes. It is true.

Well, maybe not.

In an attempt to ‘shake it up’ for my loyal reader(s), I was thinking I’d toss together a top-ten list – we’ll see if/how that works…

10) Happy: I got 50 pounds of sushi rice at costco – sweeet, thanks Mom and Dad!
9) Funny: I’ve been nominated for multiple Blogisattva awards! Blogisattva loosely translates as ‘a blog-being’ or ‘one en route to blog-hood’ – vote for me, vote often.
8) Happy: Spent half the day with my parents, belatedly celebrating my Bristol graduation – went to a restaurant with exactly two menu items without meat – both smothered in cheese (being a vegan, if I ever get there, will be interesting).
7) Funny: Nacho gets hit in the face with a baskettball, learns mindfulness lesson – bruises heal, mindfulness is forever.
6) Happy: KBGA, College Radio 89.9FM celebrates another great RADIOTHON (fund raiser) – I used to work for these guys (DJ, Promotions Manager, Business Manager) and it’s great to hear them still rockin’ out and making people happy (even though I’m now a near-total NPR convert, I still switch ‘back’ from time to time).
5) Funny: eh… I got nothin…
4) Happy: just fillin in the blanks ….
3) Funny: … did ya hear the one about the priest, the rabbi, and the buddhist monk? me either.
2) Happy: Dove Commercial, ‘Campaign for Real Beauty‘ (found on Patia’s blog) – three cheers for fighting social stereotypes and getting people to love themselves, just as they are!

And (drumroll please) the # 1 contributor to Justin’s Funniest/Happiest Day Ever……

1) Funny: David Hasselhoff sings “Hooked on a feeling” – Quite possibly the most beautifully coreographed piece of David’s career, simply stunning backdrops, and the voice you all know and love so much… A must see.

Now, if you’ve surfed around a bit and seen some of what I’ve seen, I’m sure you’re at least a bit happier 🙂 And isn’t that what life is all about? Now, go share the love, make someone happy.
