A Terrible Christian Education – millennials are said to be “… The best-educated cohort of young adults in American history.” They are made aware of what many of their baby-boomer parents are not, i.e. The Enlightenment. They not only realize the earth is not the center of the Universe but they’ve come to find in devastating fashion that mom and dad were misinformed… the bible is not inerrant, just being Christian does not exempt you from natural law, and that the Churches history is not bad, it’s horrific. Pete Enns in a recent interviewacknowledges this reality that we as millennials “were set up for failure…” Enns goes on to explain saying, “[The Church is] responsible for creating an intellectual narrative of the Christian faith, that can be dismantled inside a semester at a decent school…”
