As Matthew and Keith share their negative experiences, it’s a good idea to keep in mind that not every Christian business is shady, but enough of them have tried to take advantage – in more ways than one – of their ministry status as a way of failing to live up to their end of the bargain.
If nothing else, be sure to get everything in writing and don’t let them pull the “it’s a ministry, brother!” card when it comes time for them to pay you for the work you’ve done.
