4. If the tears keep coming day after day, it might be time to talk to a Christian counselor/pastor/doctor.
There are times when a sad or melancholy day turns into months or years of full blown depression. If you find that you cry every day, want to withdraw from your loved ones, and don’t enjoy doing things that you once loved to do, you may have clinical depression. And, you can be experiencing depression and be able to do what you need to do for your family and job. But, all the while, you feel the deep sadness inside. Friend, if I just described how you feel, please know that you are not alone in your struggle. There are great resources out there. Please go to a Christian counselor, pastor, or doctor and tell them what you’ve been experiencing. There is no shame in this, and there is so much hope in recovery.

I love Psalm 34:18 which says,
“The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
Friend, I pray that you feel so much better after you have a good cry and talk through whatever is on your heart with a loved one and, most of all, the Lord. Remember, “The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are attentive to their cry” (Psalm 34:15). Take care.
