2. She doesn’t hold a grudge against you and seeks your forgiveness when she is wrong.
I love St. Augustine’s saying, “Holding a grudge is like swallowing poison and hoping the other person will die.” In other words, a grudge eats away at us on the inside, and it is rooted in pride–not redemption. When a wife loves her husband, she is quick to forgive him when he admits to wrongdoings. She doesn’t keep a record of his wrongs. And, she is quick to seek his forgiveness when she messes up as well. She actively chooses to pursue peace and offer grace instead of revenge.
