You Have No Idea Just How Special You Are

Ever have one of those days when you feel like you just don’t matter? It’s a brutal feeling, but one that most people experience at times. Maybe today is one of those days. In any event, here’s something to remember. No matter how unimportant you feel, you are very special.

There is someone who is extremely happy that you’re alive. He’s pretty important too. How important? He’s the creator of the universe. Furthermore, not only is he happy… he delights in you:

For the LORD takes delight in his people. (Psalm 149:4)

It’s a simple message, but one that never gets old. Your very life brings joy to God. It has nothing to do with anything you did. His delight comes from the simple fact that you exist. You are very special to him and he loves you.
