Brighid, bringer of the light
Banish now the dark of night
Hold ye forth a candle’s flame
That tells us spring has come again
Vesta, guard our hearth & home
Through the winter kept us warm
Keeper of the sacred flame
Through you, now warmth will come again
Idun, maiden of the spring
Your touch makes all of nature sing
Each youth and babe and bud and flower
Know well they renewal’s power
Hathor, goddess of the cow
Bring forth the calves and bless the plow
The beasts of field and farm grow rife
When nourished from your milk of life
Demeter, she who brings the rain
Who ripens fruit and nurtures grain
Return to us from winter’s dark
And bud and bloom and bless life’s spark
Ushas, herald of the dawn
Release the gates of darkness-bawn
Bring the chariot of the sun
That grants life’s light to everyone
Brighid, bringer of the light
