‘But you shall receive power from on high…and you shall be my witnesses’– Acts 1.8

Many church members have never been born again.  The greatest need of the church is Spirit-born, Holy Ghost baptized Christians. When a church member loves the same kind of life that the godless worldly men or women do, he can be sure that he has never received the baptism of the Holy Spirit.  The Holy Spirit is a divine personality, just as real as Jesus Christ or God the Father.  The baptism of the Spirit has been promised to every Christian, The Scripture commands every Christian to be filled with the Holy Spirit. If you are to receive the Holy Spirit, there must be a real desire and longing in your heart for him. Your heart and life must be clean and made ready for him. You must give up every known sin and make full surrender to Christ.

The Christian that has been baptized with the Holy Ghost will witness for Christ with boldness and assurance. He will speak with an increasing knowledge of God’s word and his power to save. He will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. He will not be conformed to this world.  He will live for Christ. He will manifest the fruit of the Spirit, which is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, meekness, and self-control. He will walk by the Spirit. He will manifest a gift of the Spirit. His life will be a living testimony that Jesus dwells in his heart. Do we have the power of the Spirit of God in our grasp? Are we good stewards for Christ?
