Charley Harper’s Critters– Part One

Charley Harper’s Critters– Part One

On the edge of Lexington, on the old Frankfort Pike is a private home on which property an art museum– the Headley-Whitney Museum has been built some time ago.  It is small and has also a small adjacent building in which there is a huge seashell collection as well.  Here’s the adjacent building’s collection

But in the main building we have a special exhibit of the art of Charley Harper– famous for his birds, and catchy titles among other creatures great and small.  Besides painting and drawings, he was famous for his posters, as we shall see.
