Be Thou My Vision

Be Thou My Vision

This medieval hymn, a Celtic hymn originally, is the oldest hymn in the Methodist hymn book, and this is one of the most beautiful versions done of it with great harmony.   When I was doing the funeral for my great Uncle Robert Herring who passed away already beyond 100, he had been cared for just outside High Point N.C. by French nuns. When they saw I had picked this hymn, they were thrilled for they knew it as a French hymn and we all sang it with all our hearts in 2 different languages.  I have actually recorded this hymn with me playing my 12 string guitar and singing.
