I have long wanted to visit Iceland. It seems like my version of paradise. Not only is it said to have the unrivaled renewable energy, unprecedented safety, and exemplary health. It ALSO has the best hot dog in the world. This week my long list of reasons I wish I was in Iceland grew. I had known of Iceland’s beauty, but this video which was just released opened up new doors to how incredible this small nation really is. I thought I would share it with you.
They recorded most of it with a GoPro Hero 4 and a DJI Phantom 2 Drone. It’s amazing to me how these new technological developments are helping us see creation with new eyes. This is definitely getting added to my “stunning visuals” playlist!
Interestingly Iceland seems to have been originally inhabited by Catholic monks who traveled north to seek closer union with God, even before the Norse explorers colonized it. I imagine they found a natural communion with God in the beauty of the world all around them.
